About

History

The School started in June 1976 as Wangan Barangay High School through the effort of the elementary principal late Eriberto O. Macasa and massive support of the people in the community and nearby barangays. There were only three (3) teachers at that time whose salary was shouldered by the Barangay Council and PTA. The secondary education was successfully implemented until a bill passed in the defunct Batas Pambansa last May 4, 1982, the Batas Pambansa Blg. 138 (sponsored by Honorable Assemblywoman Felicidad Santos) An Act Converting Wangan Barangay High School into an Agricultural Education Institution namely Wangan National Agricultural School. WNAS continue to operate secondary education but when Republic Act No. 7796 (TESDA LAW) has been approved, it changes the operation of the school. With the that act, dual education program occurs in WNAS (secondary and post-secondary education.)

is the foremost Agri-Tourism institute in Southern Mindanao.

The TESDA–Wangan National Agricultural School is dedicated to produce local and international competitive workers.

1. To excel in all TVET Program offerings.

2. To strengthen partnership in all entities towards globally competitive and holistic development.

3. To continuously promote good governance and quality management in TVET program operations.
